CHAIR YOGA & EXERCISE

Welcome to an accessible class in which we will use a combination of yoga and exercise to build strength and increase balance.   We will start class in a chair, beginning with basic spinal and joint releasing movements.  Then we will use resistance bands, yoga blocks, and small hand weights to develop strength throughout different muscle groups.   We will then stand up to work on posture and balance poses.  Class ends back in our seats, with a brief time for conscious breathing and relaxation.  

This is the perfect class for individuals who may have limited mobility, balance issues, or simply desire a simple, yet targeted way to work.  This is also a good option if you would like to learn a basic chair-based routine that you can modify or practice at home.
