HEALTHY HIPS AND KNEES
with Amy Sawyer
SATURDAY, MARCH 7

Healthy hips and knees rely on a balanced relationship between strength, flexibility, and mindful movement. When the hips are weak or restricted, unnecessary stress can be placed on the knees and legs. Strong, well-supported hips help stabilize the pelvis—our center of gravity—and the spine, creating a more sustainable foundation for yoga practice and daily life. Because the hips and knees function as an integrated system, imbalances in one can affect alignment, mobility, and comfort in the other.
In this lecture- and practice-based workshop, we’ll use yoga postures, functional movement, and awareness-based techniques to explore safe alignment, build strength, increase mobility, and cultivate long-term hip and knee health—both on and off the mat.
